This study examines the practice of purdah among Muslim women in Kazaure local government. In doing so, this research uses random sampling techniques to select the research participants from some areas in Kazaure local government, such as
Kazaure town, Gada town and Maradawa village where the participants were interviewed and observed on the attitude of Muslim women towards purdah in each of the selected area. Also, the data collected were analysed using qualitative method (explanatory method). This study finds that some Muslim women in some of these areas do not practice purdah and do not wear hijab decently whereas in some areas Muslim women do. Therefore, there is a high rate of social issues. This occurs because some of these women have wrong perceptions of purdah and many cannot practice it because of their misperception to purdah. However, most Muslim women who practice purdah and wear hijab are not victims of moral vices because they earn respect and protection against evil men. Also, practice of purdah minimizes vices in the communities. Also, if political, religious, and traditional leaders of each community will campaign against indecent dressings and ineffective practice of purdah among Muslim women the menace caused by the lack of practice of purdah will be minimized. Thus, this study recommends these leaders to enlighten or to enforce practice of purdah.
