The UMYUK Journal of Economics and Development (UJED) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by the Department of Economics, Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina, Nigeria. The journal provides an international platform for the publication of original, innovative, and high-quality research that advances theoretical, methodological, and empirical knowledge in the fields of economics and development studies.
UJED aims to promote rigorous academic inquiry and evidence-based analysis that bridges economic theory and practical development challenges. The journal encourages contributions that integrate conceptual frameworks with real-world applications, policy analysis, and methodological innovation, thereby contributing to informed decision-making and sustainable development at local, national, and global levels.
The journal publishes original research articles, methodological papers, theoretical studies, and scholarly book reviews. Submissions are welcomed from researchers, academics, policymakers, and practitioners from all regions of the world.
