The evolution of databases and information resources has revolutionized the landscape of academic libraries, particularly in Katsina State. This study explores the transition from traditional library systems to digital platforms, focusing on how academic libraries have navigated this digital transformation. It examines the integration of electronic databases, open access resources, and digital information systems in enhancing research and learning. The study analyzes the challenges faced by academic libraries in the region, such as inadequate infrastructure, funding constraints, and the need for digital literacy among library users. Through a mixed-methods approach involving surveys, interviews, and case studies from selected institutions in Katsina State, the research assesses the effectiveness of these digital tools in meeting the needs of students, researchers, and faculty. Furthermore, it highlights the role of public-private partnerships in fostering sustainable digital development. The findings provide insights into best practices for academic libraries to adapt and thrive in the evolving digital information landscape, ensuring better access to information and knowledge dissemination in the region.
