Abstract

The study titled assessment of girl’s child education programmes on   secondary school enrollment and sustainability in Katsina state, Nigeria. The study employed descriptive survey research. A sample size of three hundred and thirteen (313) was selected from the total population of one thousand nine hundred and forty-two (1,942). Data was collected using adapted structured questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics.  The questionnaire was given to experts in the field of educational management for content and face validity was reported to have a reliability index of 0.899. Descriptive statistics of frequencies and percentages were used to analyze the bio-data of the Mean and Standard Deviations was used answer the research question. The findings revealed that   girls' child education programme on girl’s education promoted girl’s child school enrollment in secondary education in Katsina State. The researcher recommended that the sustainability of the girls’ child education programme requires the understanding, support and active participation of traditional and religious leaders in the state.
