Digital Preservation and Archiving Policy
UMYU Journal of Microbiology Research is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all its published content. To safeguard against data loss, alteration, or disappearance, the journal employs reliable digital preservation and archiving systems.
All published articles are securely archived in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP-PN), which provides decentralized, distributed preservation ensuring permanent access to journal content even in the event of technical failure or closure. In addition, copies of all published content are stored within the journal’s institutional repository at Umaru Musa Yar’adua University and other recognized academic repositories.
The journal also encourages authors and indexing services to maintain independent archives and metadata records, further enhancing global discoverability and long-term accessibility.
Through these measures, UMYU Journal of Microbiology Research guarantees that every published article remains freely available, citable, and accessible for future generations in accordance with the principles of open science and digital preservation best practices.
